CAMP DESCRIPTIONS
Dramatic Kids! (Ages 6-11)
Awaken creativity & boost self-confidence in this camp where the world of theater & art come to life. Each day young actors work towards creating an original play. Through improvisational acting games & theatrical techniques they learn the fundamentals of dramatic storytelling facilitated by one of our talented Teaching Artists. This camp provides a fun and dynamic space to build confidence, courage and character. A showcase of the students’ original work will be performed for their friends and family on the last day of camp!
Playwriting to Performance Camp (Ages 11-15)
Learn the full gamut of producing a live show from crafting an original work to performing it on stage in just two weeks. In this camp, campers will learn the basic elements of playwriting including action, character, conflict and dialogue. Then they will transform what is on the page into a live performance incorporating elements of set design, tech, auditioning and acting techniques. Original works will be presented to friends and family on the last day of camp.
