CLASS DESCRIPTIONS


​​Act It Out!, Dramatic Kids!, and Theatrical Teens! programs are offered as summer camps, school break camps, and classes during the school year. We offer Little Stars! classes throughout the year.

Little Stars! (Ages 2-3/accompanied by a responsible adult)
Let your child shine in this theater arts class that does it all! These young minds will explore their creativity and imaginations through music, movement, story time, acting games, and art. Each week students will take home a mini-art project that relates to our theme of the day. Each child should be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Act It Out! (Ages 4-6/pre-k-2nd)
Awaken creativity & boost self-confidence through this theater arts class that draws out positive values using storybooks! Each week students will explore their imaginations and artistic talents through theater games and acting out stories using costumes and props. This class provides a fun and dynamic space to build confidence, courage and character. Students in this class will showcase their favorite story to family & friends on the last day!

Dramatic Kids! (Ages 7-11/3rd-5th)  
Awaken creativity & boost self-confidence in this theater arts class that has it all! Each week students in this class will explore their imaginations and artistic talents by participating in fun, improvisational acting games & theatrical techniques while learning the fundamentals of dramatic storytelling facilitated by one of our talented Teaching Artists. This class provides a fun and dynamic space to build confidence, courage and character. A showcase of students’ original work will be performed for their friends and family on the last day of class!

Theatrical Teens! (Ages 11-15/6th-9th)
Awaken creativity & explore your artistic talents in this fun, dynamic theater arts class specially designed for teens! Learn the art of improvisational theater techniques, the building blocks of playwriting, and the elements of scene study. Our talented Teaching Artist will guide students each week towards producing their own original play based on positive values. This class will present their original work to friends & family on the last day of class!

Family Improv Workshops (Ages 4 and up/accompanied by a responsible adult)
Families play acting games and learn how improv can be a positive tool in everyday family life. Unscripted theater allows kids and adults to use their imaginations, let loose, tap into their emotions in a positive way, and have fun. It also teaches problem solving and team building. It can be a great tool to get kids to open up, and we introduce activities you can do at home.
