AWAKEN YOUR CREATIVITY! We’re excited to announce our first ever Family Improv Night. It’s a chance for you and your children to get a taste of improv, explore your imaginations together, and connect in a new way. Who: Children ages 3+, accompanied by a responsible adult (one adult should with each child) What: Family Improv Night Where: Falls Church Community Center When: Friday, September 23, 2016 6:00-7:00 PM Resident-$10/one child & one adult Non-Resident-$20/one child & one adult Improv is a type of theater in which there isn’t a script. Actors improvise, coming up with ideas on the spot, and deciding in that moment what to do or say, and what is happening in the “world” the group imagines together. You can be silly, even ridiculous. We use improv to help kids use their imaginations, let loose, tap into their emotions in a positive way, and have fun. It also teaches problem solving and team building. It can be a great tool to get kids to open up, and we will introduce you to activities you can do at home. We have even read about improv helping parents to become better parents. http://www.themotherco.com/2013/06/how-improvisation-class-made-me-a-better-parent[NV2] / We hope to see you Friday night! Come dressed in comfortable clothing, because we will be moving around.
